Every minute in our lives are interesting, important and intriguing. It keeps us going on "what next?". There are some moments that are memorable, some that are touching, some - testing but there are truly very few that are breathtaking. I witnessed that today morning.
Lakshmi and I went to receive my in-laws from Palakkad at the Railway station, who were visiting us for the first time since our wedding on Nov 23, 2008. Since the arrival time of the train was at 5.25 AM, we were both groaning loudly. Each day we get up at 4.45AM & 5.00AM (Yeah I get 15 valuable minutes more than her) to get to our respective workplaces. Saturdays are a big boon to sleep in. But today was not to be, obviously.
We set off at 5.00 from home and reached there at 5.20AM. It's hard to catch that crazy female accent voice over the PA system amidst all that noise. We hung around the Central railway station until the big board informed us that the train was going to be at least 30 minutes late. YES! We hear you echoing our groans now...
Anyway, finally the train arrived at 6.05 AM, without the customary "Train No.___ ravana hogi" for the train we were waiting for!! We managed to wade through the pool of walking waltzes. Without further ado, let me get to the breathtaking part...
As we came out, we were taken by the sight of the skies. There are no words to describe it - you have to see it for yourselves. I had never seen such a skyline in Chennai all through my life!!
Take a look at these pictures (courtesy the phone camera in Lakshmi's mobile - Sony camera phones zindabad!!).
PS: the title was provided by Sugar, she looked at the pics and said, "wow, Heavenly!" - the perfect pun.
